disaster. On 18th September 1880, a dangerous landslide occurred there and
approx. 150 people died. Then, 20 inches of heavy rainfall happened for 48

Establishment of High Court By British Government
In 1906, Britishian’s established High Court in Nainital.
They also connected this place with Switzerland due to its beautifulness and
cool weather. They also cut the trees in a sincere manner and gave them a
proper shape which makes this place more attractive.
Cruelty By Britishian’s on Indian People
At that time for local public transportation, they used
hand-rickshaws on the way of Mallital to Tallital & sometimes up to Hanuman
Garhi. And, Britishian’s didn’t allow Indians to use the regular road of
Mallital To Tallital. They provided them another road which is known as
currently “Thundi Road”. If any Indian citizen broke the rule means any Indian
citizen used the regular road of Mallital to Tallital then Britishian’s used to
beat the Indians with the stick on the spot.
